I like the sound effects and music.
Yes, I agree - there are a great deal of most beautiful music. Thanks for listening!
❤ for the song at the end
Thank you!
t hanx
You're welcome.
Mr. Keillor is an American treasure.
Yes he is. Thank you for listening!
Garrison Keiller has grown into a bitter, sour and angry old man. He lives day-to-day grouching he wasn't made Poet Laureate, amongst other things.
You can document this of course??
@@GodsFavoriteBassPlyr and you can disprove it?
@@MrPlankinton - What a clever, thoughtful and insightful answer. Genius, actually. But, you see, I'm not the guy going around just telling everyone I meet what a great guy Keillor is out of the clear blue sky. YOU were the one who made the charge. So naturally, I thought surely you'd be just loaded for bear, as they say, and ready with SOME KIND of substance.
That aunt reminded me of the Simpson's character Milhouse that starts crying and when asked why he says that he will never be as happy again as he is right now 🤣
Remarkable!
Thank you for listening!
Where’s my girl Sarah Lavender? Whoops! wrong video. sorry.
5:51 hearing Garrison Keillor describe The Edgar haircut 😂
Love this--we listened to PHC for years at my family's home. Leave it to Martin Sheen to guest-perform. Great memories.
Thank you for listening!
Busters Bad Cold.😊
1:29:20 Sleepwalk
Thank you much! Added the title.
This was the first last show. He came back after a few years.
Yes, thank you for listening!
Thank you
You're welcome. Thank you for listening!
wonderful! the music at the end sounds so familiar but can't place it.
It's "Charade" by Chet Atkins and Johnny Gimble. Thanks for listening!
@@mikhailfaisman5287 Thank you!
Love these stories 🎉😊.
Glad you like them! Thanks for listening!
Thanks from an old strawberry picker. It was hard work for a kid at 30 cents a carrier which held 6 boxes. I always made enough for school clothes and that hard work sure didn’t hurt me. And, it gives me something to talk about and spin a few stories about the “good old days”. Thanks for your stories - you’re a fabulous story teller
Thank you for listening!
Look up "Face made for Radio" and they post his pictures😂😂😂😂 Love listening to the show though 😊
Thank you!
Great video thanks for sharing.and the song was good good too 🎶❣️😎
You're welcome. Thank you for listening!
Great stories
Thanks for listening
Thanx
You're welcome.
❤
Thank you!
Watching him do the Wobegon segment is nowhere near as nice as only hearing it. Of course, all one has to do is scroll the screen.
Thanks for a new take on this fairy tale - GK you sure can spin some delightful stories.
Glad you enjoyed it!
This is not the last show. The last show was at the Hollywood Bowl. I think you mean the Last show of his TV show!
The Hollywood Bowl - that was his second last show. Thanks for listening!
@@mikhailfaisman5287 Technically I am half right. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A_Prairie_Home_Companion#:~:text=While%20the%20July%202%20Hollywood,News%20from%20Lake%20Wobegon%22%20segments.
That woman has a lovely voice!
..are you sure this is the last show? I've been to 2 shows. He looks really young here.
I think he left and then returned to resume the show.
I beg you to stay ❤ please stay 🙏. I can't throw myself on the floor prostrate, for fear that I could not get back up.😅
why did he go to Denmark?
To marry a Danish girl and to live there. It's a long and complicated saga; there is a lot of material on the subject you can find on the internet. Thanks for listening!
@@mikhailfaisman5287 when did he come back to the states?
In two years.
That is a nice painting.
Thank you for listening!
Prairie Home Companion brought the art of storytelling to us every week. I really think I have learned more from this show than a whole slew of creative writing classes. Far more enjoyable, and better for my finances (!!!). I am grateful to you for bringing a staple in my life back, a thousand thanks.
There's always a backstory, especially when one grows old. Then the history becomes more interesting. People, especially young adults in a hurry, judge without considering where the old have been, or why they're still alive!
😅z0
Glad you liked it.
What a great story - thanks for telling it.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thanx4post
You're welcome.
Excellent one!!
Thank you! Cheers!
Somehow garrison lost his job. But, in 2024 we have a convicted felon legitimately running as president. Slash, already warned us. Dick tater. Something is wrong. Garrison is to bad, but don is ok? Even alice would be confused.
Oh what a beautiful summer night.😊
Wonderful! Thank you for listening!
love it!
Thank you for listening!
14:13 Love this song...
I guess Wally didn't wear a glove or a batting helmet.
is it possible to download full episodes anywhere? my dream is to have as much of the archive as possible on a usb stick, make a few copies and give them out to my family
Just type in garrison Keillor and you should have access to dozens of recordings.
Is that the squirrel nut zippers playing? Love it!
I love them too, but it's not them - it's "I Lost My Gal From Memphis" sang by Bob Brozman. Thanks for listening!
Every day I listen to this channel ..... i've thanked you for your many pains before .... but .... I think about the myriad details you must attend to, providing this wealth of material ...... everything from your eye-catching graphics .... to correct air-dates ....... and a hundred other things I can't even imagine. ..... and you do it EVERY DAY. .... your generosity of spirit is epic. ..... It's hard to express what a joy it is to hear this stuff ! ! ! ..... so many HITS .... also .... lesser known bits .... new to discover.... ( sorry for writing a book here ) .... im sure you have heard much the same gushing from many GK fans here before ....... thank you again for all your hard work uploading and creating such a fabulous channel ! ! !
Thank you so much for your very kind words! It's been a pleasure...
Mr G could have been the inspiration for Monty Python me thinks
It's a possibility... 🙂
